Phaeton 44oh question

I currently own a 2011 Itasca Ellipse 42QD. Looking at a 2016 Phaeton 44OH. Not being as familiar with the Tiffin is there any problems i need to be aware of effecting this unit (slide problems etc).

Thanks for any input

Jim

I have a 40IH, which is the same chassis and floor plan only 40' length. I did have a minor problem with the slides which turned out to be a defective controller board in the Spyder multiplex system. After replacing that I haven't had any further problems. I don't know of any systemic problems with the OH, but that was the first year production for that model. I would think any initial "bug" would have been worked out by now.

Just so you are aware, these models sit a little taller than comparable Freightliner chassis Phaetons. The overall height is 13'2" versus 12'7" for the FL. The upside of the added height is taller storage bays by 7" and the flat floor all the way to the rear closet. I have over 19,000 miles on ours so far and the only chassis issue has been a problem with the fan clutch which is being worked out.
