Phaeton Camera Monitor

In out 2017 Phaeton 40AH, the camera monitor is impossible for the driver to view. It is mounted in the dash so the it is angled upward. That means it picks up a lot of glare. If it was on some sort of a swivel so it could be turned toward the driver and angled downward, it would make it useful.

Has anyone any ideas how to modify it in this manner or does anyone have any better ideas how to solve this problem?

Tiffin uses monitors that have non-reflective screens. If it looks reflective, peel the protective layer off and it should be fine. If you need to, turn the brightness up.

Roger & Mary, Thanks for the reply. I'll check later today to see if there is a plastic film on the monitor. That might be the answer.

We purchased the coach a year ago from Bretz in Missoula, MT. My wife and I have been RVers for 30 years and most-timers for over 10 years (meaning 6-9 months on the road every year. We knew more about the coach than the salesman knew and we knew little about almost all of the systems. It is an all-electric coach with multiple systems we had never seen before. That being said our walk through was little more than here are the keys and here is the coach. We would NEVER have any dealings with Bretz and recommend that others BEWARE.

I have a friend that drove all the way to Bretz from here in New Mexico to purchase is Breeze. I remember stopping in their Missoula store when we were killing off an afternoon but other than that, I don't know too much about them. However, your experience is pretty similar to a lot of people when they purchase a new motorhome.

We bought our Phaeton from Sherman in Mississippi and they were great. We got the walk through and access to our service man for questions and minor repairs while we stayed in their parking lot.

Looking on Google Maps it appears Sherman has a small lot. How long were you allowed to stay?

Also, did you pick Sherman because of how close they are to Red Bay?

Thanks

Need a Plan B

I tried to remove a plastic film from the camera monitor and after 4 minutes of digging at the corners with my finger nail, it became apparent that there is no plastic film. Antone have another potential solution?

Like Roger said, try to increase the brightness of the screen.
