Phaeton Fair price ?

2015 Tiffin Phaeton 36 GH with under 20,000 miles being offered at a dealer well outfitted for $210,000 .
What do you think is a fair price ?
NADA values this coach at $180,000 low retail ?

Thanks for the feedback.

Get the option price list for the coach you are looking at. If the dealer won't give it to you, you can find a standard price list on this site. Add up the cost of the added options. and deduct 25-27 percent. That will give you what that coach sold for new. I think that price is too high.

For the dealer fair price is whatever they can get for it. The dealer has to trade off holding out for a buyer willing to pay closer the their asking price vs a quick turnaround with less of a margin. I would assume the dealer is making a good profit if they sold it at 180K and everything over that is icing for them.

Another question to ask is what you can get for $210,000.

Here's food for thought. The 2017 Phaeton gets a 24K rear axle vs 21K for 2015. For me that would be a big deal. Many are not that concerned about cargo capacity.

The 2017 base list price is 297670. This means that the base model can be had new for about 214K.

An all electric 2017 with heated floors, washer dryer list is 312605. That can be had for about 225K.

If you can get a decked out 2017 with larger rear axle for $225 then what price would make the 2015 attractive to you?

Ok , for example if sold new MSRP 280 K @ 25 % off this brings us down to 210 K.
Of coarse the dealer bought the coach at some wholesale number . This number I am sure was significantly below the low retail nada value of 180 K.
The 210K noted above as new is the same price quote I was quoted used.
I bet if gave them a price of 20% off @ 168 K there reply would be no deal . can't hurt to try. Plus the 2018 models will be produced soon, this coach is then viewed as another year older.

the correct target price is low retail $180K, my starting off is 175K

tell him about the cost of a new one as stated above, then let the offer sit a few days,,,,,,,,,

He who wants it least wins!!!!

don't add any extras, that's bunch of hype for dealers to talk about

It's just list price * .72 (28% discount). There are dealers mentioned over at TRVN who sell at good prices.
