Phaeton MSRP typical discount
Hi all. I havent posted here in forever. We currently own a 2010 Fleetwood Fiesta. We've been looking at new coaches for sometime now. We've come to learn what we like and don't like in a coach and settled on the Phaeton 37BH unless something else catches our eye.
The 2018 we looked at tonight has a list price of $313,000. What is the typical discount because we think they are coming in high at $255k. We managed to get them down to $242k but still think that is high. We walked on the dealer tonight.
A funny, not so funny story right before we went to talk numbers. My husband looked one last time in the under storage and came face to face with a groundhog/racoon/beaver that was up inside. I went back to look for it and found fur. No critter but could smell animal in that compartment. Having had mice in our current coach, we are well aware of the damage critters can do. Which makes us nervous and wonder if they are hiding something bad about the coach.
Thank you for any info.

Bet they will do better. They just need encouragement. As in walking away.

When buying at Sherman, Ingram or Davis expect to get 29% off bringing that coach in at 223K or so. We got our new coach from Sherman (Andy) and it was worth the 750 mile drive to get it.

Thanks! So we aren't far off base. After researching, we are expecting 25-30% which puts us in the $220 -230 range. Might need more with the critter. That's making us a little uneasy. We put the feelers out on another Phaeton this morning.
We also tend to walk on dealers. Or pit one against the other. It is how we buy our autos.

Momdoc, that is good to know. I just asked my husband who he contacted on the 2nd Phaeton and he said Ingram.

Instead of trying to find one on a dealer's lot, I suggest you order one. The same 25-29% off MSRP but you get to choose exactly what you want. Some of the better dealers to do this with are Ingram, Sherman, and Davis Motorhomes. They are all close to Red Bay, all good to deal with, and will, if you send them a RFQ, be pretty close to one another on price.

luvlabs, this is something we are definitely toying with. We don't "need" this RV tomorrow or even next month but we will be living in it for work for months at a time. We will definitely be looking into the ordering option.

When we ordered our 2018 Bus 37AP we got prices from dealers in and around NM. We also got prices from the three mentioned above. They beat the others by as much as $30k. Needless to say, driving to Davis in TN was certainly worth it to us

Garykk, this is good to hear! We are now in talks with Ingram. This will be a good starting point whether we buy or order. We will be contacting the others soon. We are out of state as well and are willing to travel for a deal.

We purchased our 2017 40AH in Oct 2016, sticker was $319,xxx and paid $243,200. We bought from stock, did not have time to place an order.

Just visited Red Bay and Shermans last Friday. We're also looking for a Phaeton 37bh. The problem right now is you can't special order 2018's anymore and Tiffin hasn't released prices or options yet for 2019 Phaetons so they can't be ordered yet either....best guess is "2-6 weeks" before they can take orders.....then about a 16 week delivery time after placing the order.
The price they told us for a $314,000 2018 37bh was just under $222,000, so 29-30% sounds about right.
We can't find an '18 rigged the way we want, so we're just waiting for word from Shermans to place our order for a '19.
Good luck with your search.

I should add we did order ours from Sherman and it took about 13 weeks from order to completed build but we got everything we wanted and nothing we did not want or need that way.
We would do it this way again in the future.

Overtime, that pricing is right in our ballpark and what we are willing to spend. Where is the one you looked at? We are running into the same issue with finding everything we want. Except for the one in Michigan. It has everything we want. Unfortunately, it also comes with a groundhog. Ingrams told me 3 weeks before pricing is released on the 2019's.
Momdoc, we are leaning more and more towards ordering a 2019. This will give us time, hopefully, to sell our existing outright instead of taking a bath on a trade. 13 weeks sounds good and about what we were hoping.
