We are looking to purchase a 2009 QBH or a 2009 QTH.

Considering ordering and also considering going with a dealer.

On a MSRP of $283,400 for a 2009 QBH, what percentage discount can we expect to get?

On a MSRP of $243,400 for a 2009 QTH, what
percentage discount can we expect to get?

Would it be better to purchase at one of the upcoming RV shows?

Also, are the 2009 Phaeton QBH's too new to expect much of a discount?

Would anyone like to recommend a dealer to us other than Lazy Days/Florida and Dixie/Hammond, LA?

We've been lurking here since fall .
We've both read a ton of threads and there's so much wonderful info here.

Looking forward to listening and learning!

Brenda

Hi Brenda, welcome aboard!
If I was looking to purchase a new rig I would do my homework and determine what features and options I wanted. Using the tiffinmotorhomes.com website can help with that part.
Then I would start talking to dealers in the southsast area with my options list and let them go to work for you.
I hear from other Tiffin owners that the dealers in Alabama are pretty good to work with on purchases. Others mention that dealers in western states tend to be more expensive, probably due to distance.

Let the dealers compete for your business. Some folks say that some dealers will not perform warranty work on your rig if you didn't purchase from them.

You can always go to Red Bay, Al and get the work performed there. The folks there in my opinion are great!

Good Luck with your hunt.

Brenda,,In your first post you were asking what percentage you could expect to get off..I am looking also, and you just stated that you have purchased. So who would be better to answer that question any better than you.. What percentage??????? Thanks VACMAN

We didn't get much help on what we might expect so we had to wing it.

First offer was 26%, second was 27% and final offer was 28.746%.

$286300.00 down to $204000.00

Sherman RV wanted 216000 and it was a cheaper unit. Lazydays wanted to stick with 25% for one around same price.

I'd hold out for at least 28%. Good Luck

Brenda, we have been in our 2009 Paheton QTH now six weeks. Love it. Picked it up in Husntsville, AL at Bankston. Local San Antonio, Tx dealers couldn't even get close to the deal. Have washer and dryer and dishwasher. Bob Tiffin made sure we got the dishwasher, which I love, because we had to do some hoops and loops for the dealer - Tiffin before we could get our rig.

Good luck - now in Alpine, TX at the Lost Alaskan RV park.

Brenda, what dealership did you buy that new beauty from? We are in the market and having trouble getting much over 25% off MSRP. Thanks.

Ordered coach from Bankston in AL, picked it up in mid Dec. 2008. Love it! Have you puchased a Tiffin yet?

Ordered our 2009 Phaeton through Tim McCafferey at Bankston MH in Huntsville. Got what we wanted and treated great. Got about 29% off MSRP. Love it. Been fulltiming one year now.
