Plexus - What is It?

We have a new Phaeton and now on our maiden voyage. There is a sticker on the window advising to treat outside of sliding window with PLEXUS for better operation. I can't find a Plexus product on the internet. Anybody know what this is?? BTW - Loving our 2013 Phaeton 36

Plastic cleaner. Vega Plexus Spray Cleaner-7 oz Can (Standard) : Amazon.com : Automotive

Anyone know why the price went up so much in the past year or so?

Don't bother, it's not worth the price. Spray silicone will work just as well if you have a sticky window.

I have a can of the plexus for my phaeton. However i don't think it was worth the $30.00 i paid at a marine store for it.

Plexus

[QUOTE=Cardinal Pilot;1554811]Plastic cleaner. Vega Plexus Spray Cleaner-7 oz Can (Standard) : Amazon.com : Automotive

Gotta love Amazon - seems Plexus is a plastic cleaner by the description - I have a 2013 Zephyr and have the same sticker on my DS power window - it seems to struggle a bit to close and was going to silicone spray the track. Why would you need to use Plexus on the track ? I must be missing something here

Thanks! Rudy

All the Plexus does is slick up the window & slide to make it easier to open and shut the windows. The dealer where we purchased our Phaeton sprayed all our windows and 'accidentally left a can' with us!

It does work but I think silicone spray would do the same thing.

By the way, really like your floor plan. Wish it had been out in '12 or if it was, wish the dealer had one in stock.

thanks for the clarification
I think I'll spring for a can from Amazon. I find silicone spray starts to attract dirt and gunk up over time at home and Im thinking that might also happen on the window slides

I had Roadmaster Silicone Spray and it listed one of the uses "window slides". They work much better now. We all are loving the floor plan including my two labs sleeping in front of the fireplace

Yet another reason to drive to Red Bay. It's setting on the shelve in the store. Aint cheap but it does work.

Plexus is a cleaner for plexiglass or lexan windshield such as those on motorcycles. The ammonia in regular glass cleaner will yellow lexan / plexiglass. Plexus comes in three formulas one of which is made to buff out scratches in plastic. It can be found at any Harley dealer and most motorcycle dealer that cater to the road crowd. I don't know why it would be recommended for RV windows unless they aren't glass?

Plexus is sold at motorcycle shops to clean windshields and helmet face shields. It's a cleaner formulated for plastics. I keep a bottle in the bag of my BMW.
