Plumbing in Slides
i love our gasser, and looking at moving up..
several of the models we are looking at have a lot of plumbing in the slides...
and that raises questions in my old suspicious brain...
i've done some looking for posts about slide related plumbing issues...
water delivery and drains??
related is the weight question...
ex: it looks like adding a res. ref. to a slide would increase problems..
but i'm not seeing the comments i'd expect...
so, tiffin owners (or other brands?) have you had leak problems or any kind of problems from all the plumbing in your slides ??? or problems related to refrigerators and a full galley in a slide?
so, complain, or brag. suggest, warn! or any info you'd like to share?
thanks

Ordered our '02 Dutch Star April 15, 2002. Delivered a couple months later. Traded it in in late Feb 2015. Not one problem with the plumbing in the kitchen slide during that time. No problem in 4 years with the present rig with the kitchen in the slide nor with the bathroom slide that has one sink in it.

Good news here, no problems with ours. It's been in and out a lot. The floor is what takes the abuse !!

We have plumbing in three of our four slides and no issues at all from movement in and out. Our Allegro RED had plumbing in two slides and never had any problems with it either. Some of the older model Tiffins had problems with kinking of the drain lines, but I think they have worked out most of those issues.

We have a 2009 Tiffin Phaeton with residential refrigerator in one slide and our kitchen in a different slide. No problems.

The only common issue is the drain line kinking or coming out of a fitting. TMH can supply a kit to repair, but a universal radiator hose also works well .

Not a fan of any plumbing in a slide. Flexible rubber gas line is the only one I would ever have. Just another thing to go wrong and ruin your day.
Another thing I will never have is a fridg in a slide (propane) where the venting is poor. Too many fires caused by poor venting. Residential fridge, OK, but not a propane one.

There is a You-Tube video posted by "You, Me and the RV" about a drain repair on their RED at Red Bay. You might give it a look.
