Smile Porch light replacement

Has anyone changed the outside oval porch light to a LED smart motion fixture? I would like to replace but not sure what kind of job it is to remove and if the new one will cover all marks.
Motion lights would be a great option for security. Would make DW happy too !

I guess another option is to change existing bulb to LED and leave on. How does the clear lens come off? looks like Tiffin used silicone.

I replaced mine with an LED that has a sensor for dusk to dawn operation. It's built into my bulb, which cost about $18. Easy replacement. I don't know what Tiffin uses, but mine is a typical porch light fixture. Two small tabs on the bottom edge of the cover, and one longer one on the top edge. A little squeeze and it pops off.

I bought them from a friend that runs "Cruising America RV", but I believe they are readily available from many LED distributors. They are just the basic "tower" type LED with a built-in sensor. If you open the door after dark they come on, and if it's light out they don't. If you turn the porch light on, they work the same way. I'll see if I can find a model number.

Try ledwholesalers.com

They have them (I think that is where my source got them) in white or warm white 60 LED for $14.00. They are BA15S (1156) base.

Neat idea. What type of fixture did you go with?

I bought a LED bulb that has a dust to dawn photo sensor build in, it's not motion but lights at dark.

The Magic Light fixture covers (slightly) the old standard fixture. It takes less than 30 min. to change. ML comes in black or white and when I was shopping, PPL in Houston had the best price....
