I own a 2009 tiffin Phaeton 40'. My front thermastat works fine when I turn to elec (heat pump) but when I turn it to gas, it will go on for 15-20 seconds then shut off. I can turn off, then turn on again and it does the same. Is the problem in my thermastat? My back one works just fine. Ponyfan

I would call Tiffin and talk to a service rep there. They will tell you a fix and or tell you where to go to get it fixed. Had a problem with a slide on my rig, they told me where the closest dealer was located that was on my west. Great Service!

Since it's a Brand new motorhome…I would agree: phone Tiffin Service for a good service facility near your location. Warranty, of course.

BTW:
Each furnace has several safety checks that must all give a “go-ahead” prior to the control valve opening and allowing propane gas to enter the burner. Just like a NASA mission control, if all not OK, then no startup will occur.

Your front furnace is doing as it was designed; safety measures are being attentative!
My guess is that it's most likely a simple fix, but best done by a qualified service tech.
