Puller questions

Going to look at an 07 Allegro Fred Puller on Saturday with 86k on it, looks good in the pics what should I be looking for? (I am a newbie to this) we are retiring in 3 mos and plan to full time. Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated, my initial feeling is that a DP is better than a Puller, but there is a pretty hefty difference in price for a comparable year and size. would love for anyone who owned one to chime in.
Thanks and Happy 2015
Ted

I haven't owned either, but for starters, engine noise is certainly going to be louder up front as opposed to a pusher.

I've driven a lot of semi-trucks hauling over 40,000 lbs and I've never had one that was a pusher. DP were made for the comfort of the driver and passengers way back in the day and for the convenience of the mechanic (what ever that was). I think there is a lot to be said for either one. The driver will have to decide if that hump up front is going to be a distractor or not. That's just my 3 cents.
