Question about 2007 Allegro AC drain

I have a new to me 2007 Allegro 28DA gasser. I am in the process of checking out everything. It has two ducted Coleman Mach ACs. Do these use the roof drain like most RV ACs? I may have been dreaming but I seem to remember some company routing the condensation drain down to the underside of the chassis.

thanks very much,
fred

Tiffin does that on their Zephir's, Bus's and Phaeton's, but I don't know about the Allegro's. If you really need to know for sure, a call to Tiffin at 256-356-0261 will get you the straight word.

Thanks Pigman,

I called and the person gave me some useful information. I did not want them to do extensive research late on a Friday afternoon but I have enough to work with.

2007 was right about the time this was implemented. He was not sure if gassers got it. He said if it is plumbed the rear would go to some pex sticking down under the passenger side of the rear cap and the front would go to some pex on the drivers side cap. An initial inspection of my rig did not show these.

He said that right front of each AC unit would have a cover over a pump that is required for the drain to work.

Maybe it has not been humid enough yet for my tests to produce the traditional roof drainage. Although not an issue with Tiffins, I have had rubber roof units where the AC was over tightened, smashing the drain plug into the soft roof (TPO with felt) and causing a waterfall inside. That was with non-ducted units with the lower inside vent cover. I wonder what happens to the water when the drain pump fails on these plumbed, fully ducted systems.

The condensation flows out of a hole in the drain pan and onto the roof.

My 2013 drains at whichever corner is lowest. No proper drainage as are the stove covers totally outdated due to no hinges.
