Big River -
I've owned two DP's now, a 40 footer and a 42 footer and I would suggest to you that most coaches of this size will not stay cool on a hot humid day like we have here in the south with nothing but the dash air running and the location of the refridgerator is not a serious factor. If you want to stay nice and cool, you run the generator and the ceiling air, and then it does not matter where the refer is.
That said, I'm somewhat familiar with the later model Allegro Bus models and the domestic refer option and given all the problems associated with the use of absorption refers and the overall poor efficiencies of those units, I'd take the domestic refer option and would not worry about what heat it gives off. I can assure you that's the way I'm going on my next coach. Only observation I would offer is that the hokey refer door latch that Tiffen came up with on the 2009 models I've seen leaves a bit to be desired, but I think they cleaned that up on the 2010's and 2011's.
