Hello, not a Tiffin owner as of yet, hopefully soon, looking at one of the 40' Phaeton's. I just wanted to get some feedback regarding the performance of the Cummins ISC 8.3L 360 HP engine. Is it enough power for you?? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The 360 coupled with the Allison 6 speed will give you all you need in the 40 foot Phaeton. We have, so far, been very pleased with our coach and Tiffin as a manufacturer.

I have the Damon Tuscany with the same engine and transmission and love it. Got 9mpg pulling a toad on the last trip. SMooth and plenty of power with no issues. Good luck..

I live in the west and do a lot of mountain driving. No complaints at all with the power of my Phaeton.

I ordered a 40 Phaeton sept 2009, picked up in oct and have driven 7600 miles only but just love it. Plentty power with tow car too. Tiffin is best for service out there

Love the 360 Cummins with the Allison 6 speed. Plenty of power and getting almost 9 MPG with only 3600 miles on it. Should get 9 when it is broke in. I tow the Saturn Vue at 65 MPH. Have had four motor homes. My first Tiffin and I love it.

I have an 08 36QSH with over 26k miles, drove I-40 to NV from AL. Got 8mpg, even driving up to Flagstaff, AZ mountains. Should get better than 8 to 9mpg after 40 to 50k. This is also my first Tiffin, coming from a gasser at 4 to 6mpg.
