Really could use some advice on 2008 Phaeton 35DH

I am very torn about this but figured there certainly would be some good opinions on here. We have about $60k budgeted for an A class that we would use likely 10 times a year for family trips and weekends. We will likely keep it for about 10 years or when it gets to a point where it just makes sense to get rid of. I have never looked at Phaetons because they just don't fit my price range but I am looking at a 2008 35DH with a salvage title for about $60k and I am seriously considering it. The damage was to the passenger side and involved a tree along the entire side of the coach. No more details at this point.

It has many new upgrades including all new windows, new tires and the repair work appears to be increadible. I am planning on having an RV/Autobody expert give he his opinion on the repair and associated long term risks. It has low miles, I did a Facetime video walkthrough of everything, it is in exceptional condition, no repairs needed, everything works. He has owned it for a few years, covered storage, and is a small business owner and appears to be completely transparent.

One last question, why can't I find that there is a 2008 Phaeton 35DH made but there was in 2007?

Here is the ad.

Looks pretty nice, but there are issues to consider with the salvage title. First is resale value. Second, and probably just as important is that your insurance company may refuse to insure for anything other than liability.

I don't worry about a salvage title as much as others do. Looks like a lot of coach for the money. I love the 35' length. I would have the repairs inspected and offer $60K. I'd love to have seen it last year before we bought our Allegro Bus.
