Rear Heater Blowing Cold Air

We have the aqua hot system. Water gets hot, front furnace works fine, but the rear is blowing cold air. Any ideas?

Check burner for wasp nests or other obstructions.

Do a check on the Tiffin RV Network and you will find all kinds of information.

No heat from one zone

Either you have a circulation pump not working or air trapped in the heating loop . If you're familiar with your aqua hot , fire it up and let it get hot, turn on all your zones and call for heat, at the aqua hot feel the hoses coming from the top of your tank, they should be warm to the point of hot. If not remove the service cover and follow the cold line to its pump and see if its working, if not, you need a service call. If the pump is working, you'll have to pressurize your tank to bleed the loop. I use a cooling system pressure tester to accomplish that. Basically a radiator cap attached to a tire pump.

Thank you for this information. I hadn't even checked the unit. First thing I see is a red light illuminated for Pump #2. Should have looked first. Also, one of the clear hoses has fluid in it, the other is empty. Sounds like a service call.

The AquaHot repair people came out and diagnosed a Pump #2 failure.

The repairman showed me the factory square shaped pump installed and the replacement pump that AquaHot sent - it's round and a different design.

The original pump has an entry hole about the size of a thick pen...the exit side is the size of a think pencil! He said that's why they fail. He said it's just a short time until our other pump fails. We have a year left of warranty so we'll wait. But great info!

AquaHot had an ill advised pump design change in you model year. You should go ahead and contact AquaHot and get replacement pumps for the ones that have not failed. When the next one fails, you'll have the parts on hand for repair.

We just had the same thing happen on our 2015 American Coach. Pump #2 failure. We are still under warranty so I called our local AH service center who happens to be my mobile guy I've been using for years. Aqua Hot sent him all 4 new pumps, Roger came out and replaced them and Aqua Hot paid for all of it. I did have to pay a $85 service call only because Roger came to me instead of me taking it to him.

I contacted Aqua Hot

I contacted AquaHot and requested replacement pumps to have on hand.

Here's the boiler plate response I got back this morning:

Aqua-Hot provides warranty parts on a case by case basis. Aqua-Hot employs strict quality practices and standards to ensure all products are working properly before they are shipped. On occasion, components fail after they are in the field. Aqua-Hot’s factory warranty extends two-years from the consumer purchase date of the coach and this provides you protection for these type of component failures. If you have any issues with Aqua-Hot components, feel free to call us directly 800-685-4298 x4.

Sincerely,
Tracey

I wouldn't expect them to just arbitrarily ship out 4 pumps just because someone says they have a problem.

Call and talk to a person. I went through a dealer. Aqua Hot wanted a picture of my control panel showing the red light for pump 2 on and a picture of my data tag showing the serial number. They also wanted to know my purchase date. My dealer forwarded that info to them and the next day had 4 pumps in hand. He replaced them that afternoon.

They were sent pictures of the Red Light for Pump#2 failure, pictures of the serial number and model number, etc. The Authorized Service Center requested those prior to replacing Pump 2 under warranty.

I will also try having the Tiffin Dealer we purchased the coach through try, call Tiffin themselves, and ask the Service Center who replaced Pump 2.

Sorry they are giving you grief about it. It was a simple phone call for my AH dealer. He was going to replace the bad pump only, it was AH that recommend he replace all 4 and over nighted him the pumps.
