Red Bay Space?
We have an appointment in Red Bay for warranty work. We were told to be there on 10-12 (Monday) and work will start on 10-13 (Tuesday). We were also told that even though we have an appointment there is not guarantee that there will be a site available. We would like to know if we should get there as early as 10-10 (Sat.) or 10-11 (Sun.) in order to get a site. Perhaps someone is there now who could advise on the availability of sites. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
RJ

If you don't have a site when you show up, there's acres and acres available for dry camping on the old runway. They'll move you to a full service site as they become available. Dump and water are also immediately available, so you shouldn't have a problem.

We just left Red Bay. We arrived around noon on a Saturday, and the campground was only half filled. By late Sunday afternoon, all the full hookup sites were all taken, but there were still some electric-only sites over along the Allegro Club building. By Monday night, the electric-only sites were all gone and there were 10 coaches dry camping.
If you want to be very certain of a full hookup site, arrive on Saturday; but you should still have a good chance at full hookups if you by noon on Sunday. However, as John said, there is almost unlimited dry camping.

We plan on going to Red Bay to tour the factory. Do they allow others to stay overnight or do does one need to be a customer?

While most of the people at the Allegro Campground are there for service, everyone is welcome. About 99% of the rigs in the campground are Tiffin products, but you occasionally see other makes.
We stopped this year primarily to tour the factory. We like to do that every couple of years to see what is new. At the end of the tour, they let you roam around inside any of the motorhomes sitting in final inspection.
I think they will give you one night free at the campground if you are there strictly for a factory tour. Ask in the campground office. They will also be able to give you the times for the tours.
As I said in my post above, the campground doesn't take reservations. It fills up on Sunday and seems to remain full through at least Wednesday. By Wednesday or Thursday, many have had their service completed and the campground starts to empty out. Try to time your arrival accordingly if you want a shot at a full hookup site.

Nancy and I are here in spot 2 at the Allegro Campground and have been for more than a week. Currently there are many empty spaces and have been since early this week. Come on down! The weather is warm and sunny (although it did rain last night). Tiffin service is GREAT! As always, oRV

If you should be over by the building in the back in spaces, make sure they have in fact decreased the voltage. A month ago it was 135 on one site and 137 on another. I received an e mail from Bob after I commented on this and he said they would lower the voltage to 130.

My Progressive hard wired saved me also. The office staff encouraged me to not use the hard wired and then I could easily by-pass the EMS. Of course they would not move me to one of the 12 empty full h/u sites at 7 pm Saturday because a Tiffin owner might show up. Mr. Tiffin didn't think much of that recommendation.
Even though the cg carries the trademarked name of "Allegro" and is not associated with Tiffin, as I explained to Mr Tiffin..."if your product name is on it...you're going to be responsible". Maybe a better name would be Red Bay guest campground.
Honestly, I was there to take the plant tour because I was considering buying a Tiffin. As bad as business is for rv mfg, I would think most would bend over backwards. Another lost sale possibly just because of inept office staff.
