Removal of Automotion Shades

I have a 2013 Phaeton 40QBH. I need to remove the Automotion shades. I have already taken the bracket which holds the shades loose.....however I'm going to need to remove the drivers side pillar post cover to access the electrical wiring. Anyone ever remove their pillar post cover ?? The reason I ask is there are only 2 screws holding that cover on.....but I believe the cover goes behind the drivers side window.....any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks !
Hhg

I've removed mine several times. Yes, you need to remove the front part of the window frame.
