Replace Hydraulic Fluid with motor oil

There are certain 400 ISL engines with side mount radiators that had overheating issues. Some allegro buses in the years before 2006 were in this group. Freightliner did a fix if you went to them under warranty. The fix was in two segments one segment was to add rock guards and an enclosure at the bottom to force more air through the radiator. The second one was to change the hydraulic fluid that powers the radiator fan to 15w30 motor oil. I had the first segment performed before I bought my bus but whoever did that did not get the second segment. I am curious if anyone has had any experience with this fix. I am aware that the increased pressure of the oil will probably burst the hydraulic oil cooler and I am prepared to deal with that. Has anyone had any experience with it and did it help with the temps.
