Replacement for Mini State 5MS900

Hello everyone.
Our HDTV antennae has ceased to rotate. I am having difficulty figuring out what would be the best replacement for the Mini State 5MS900.
The 5MS900 is installed atop our 2011 Phaeton and worked great until recently. It appears the unit is no longer made and there seems to be no suggested replacement from that company.
Has anyone found a good replacement that will hook up to the 4 on board TVs without running new cables and wires?
Thanks for your help

Craig

We got the winegard razor automatic. Easy to install, uses the coax that’s already up on the roof, and easy to use. No problems with ours. Just make sure it’s above your roof rails if you have them

+ 1 Other than the crank up Sensor IV, the Razor Automatic is the next best OTA antenna I have found, especially since Winegard has gotten their motor problems corrected.

I also replaced mine with the Rayzor. I made an adapter out of 1" aluminum angle stock that allowed me to mount the Rayzor on the existing brackets.

I bought a replacement antenna directly from Tiffin when I was in Red Bay. Works great and mounts just like to old rotating one. Omnidirectional and has NO motor to eventually fail.

flywithcoop, I didn't see the brand on antenna you got at Red Bay. Is it available online?

I don't know the brand name of the antenna. They are made in Red Bay exclusively for Tiffin. Not sure if available online.

Tiffin uses the antenna from Triplevision. You can order them directly from Tiffin.

I decided to go with the Rayzer but did find out from Winegard how to tell if it has the new motor. When you look at the serial # on the box or antenna the 6 numbers after the model is the date the antenna was made. Example, if the serial # is WR8500041518XXXXXX then it was made April 15th, 2018. The new motor came out in March 2017.

I need to replace the antenna on my 2012 Phaeton 40QBH and am looking at the Winegard RZ-8500 RAYZAR HD antenna. Can it be mounted to the existing antenna brackets from the old antenna? What wiring changes are required and does the old control box inside just get removed? Any suggestions and pictures would be appreciated.

ernieh, I want to do the same thing you did so if your adapter works well would you send a sketch of what you made.

Thanks
Jerry

Others have made similar brackets and mine is still on my previous coach which has been sold. I can briefly describe what I made out of 1 inch aluminum angle.

I used 4 pieces of material to make what is basically a T shaped bracket.

The top of the T attaches to the 2 rear mounts on the Rayzor. The vertical part is actually 2 pieces spaced so that they will attach to the existing mini state brackets. The front piece fills the "gap" between the 2 vertical pieces and serves as an attach point for the front mount.

I hope this makes sense. PM me if you have any questions.
