Replacing Window motor
Hello,
Please forgive my duplicate posting. I didn't know that I had to join each group in order to post, so this question also appears in the Class A forum. Also any help in posting a picture would be appreciated. I have a JPG of the motor.
The electric window on my 2008 Tiffin 35 TSB (Workhorse gas) has stopped working. I have removed the motor. There is power going to the motor connector so I think the motor is dead. Tiffin service does not have the part and suggested I try auto parts store. No luck there nor on Amazon or Dorman. Any suggestions?

Instruction for posting pictures is contained in the link below, post #7.

Remember to resize photos before trying to post them as large files will not go through. 640 sizing works best for me.

Is there a part number on the motor? Try searching the web site for workhorse chassis with the part number.

Remember that the wiring to the motor HAS to provide both power and ground in order for the motor to run.
Have you tested both ?

Thanks for the suggestions. No luck with searches using the part number. The Dorman looks close, but has the wrong gear. Next step is to power the motor from the cigarette lighter and use a clamp to the chassis as a ground.

Is your chassie a Ford, GM, or Dodge? The window motors are mostly standard within a car manufacture. I would take the motor to a NAPA store and have them cross reference the part# for you. You can then decide to order it from NAPA or online. PS - Check around for price, those motor cost can vary greatly and usually all come from BOSH anyway. You should be able to remove the motor screws and reuse the transmission/gears.
