Right brake and turn signal trouble

on my 2008 allegro bus 40qsp the right brake and turn signal stopped working on my 7 pin hitch electrical trailer connector. Everything else works fine. Is there a fuse that controls these right brake and turn signal function? Also, befor I took delivery they took out the rear light on the right side to do some painting, could they have caused something or is this just coincidence. Leaving on a trip and need quick help. thx, tom

I'd start by removing the tail light and see if the trailer plug is wired to it. Perhaps you can look up from below and see the back of the light. Also look for a small box with fuses in it for the trailer plug, there might be one.

Go back to the electrical compartment at the driver side near the rear axle. On the rear wall of that compartment is a black box mounted near the top. It has a cover screwed on with Phillip's screws. It contains a number of circuit breakers that control your 7 pin plug. There was a legend mounted on the box cover on my old '08 40' Bus, but that paper bore only a passing resemblance to what the actual CB's controlled. Test all CB's and you should find the bad one.

Brake & Rt. Turn Sig

Not sure of location on Allegro but on Phaeton there is a fuse box in the Rt. rear battery box with a fuse box for the hitch wiring. Don't ask how I know.
