Roof discoloration/lamination?

Hi all, cleaning the roof this morning and I noticed a couple of spots where there was some discoloration/lamination wear (see photo). Anyone seen this before (unit is under warranty)? I was thinking of covering it with caulking. Any suggestions?

Thanks!Click image for larger version

If it is under warranty I would take it back to the dealership. From the photo I assume the roof is fiberglass. The gel coat appears to be delaminating, probably due to some type of contamination in manufacturing. Oil or wax. The yellowish below is the color fiberglass turns when exposed to sunlight.
Yes you can cover it up but, if it is a defect under warranty it should be repaired properly at their cost.

From that photo I canít tell what it is. It almost looks like pitch from a tree fell on the roof, it turns that color as well.
A closeup photo would help.

Only thing you are missing in your photos is something that indicates the size of these patches. Are they the size of your hand or a dime? Retake the photos with a ruler in the pictures and send them to Don.Boyd@tiffinmotorhomes.com and ask him what you should do next. Include your VIN number and coach information (year/model) as well.

In the first of the resent photos I can see some blistering of the gel coat. Something was certainly contaminated when the roof was formed.
As mentioned , contact Tiffin. Raw fiberglass will absorb water contrary to what folks think, itís not waterproof.
