Cool Safetplus VS Trucenter

Just talked to my dealer about installing a Safe T Plus, about $1000. They recommend a Blue Ox Trucenter, because of road crowning and it is adjustable with a button on the dash, $1800.
I can't find many owner recommendations on the Trucenter, might be telling me something, but loads on the Safe T Plus, maybe a cost issue.
Fellow Tiffin owners, I'm looking for any input.
Thanks in advance

After my trip to Colorado Springs after the Tiffin Rally in Lewisburg, WV the first week of June. I still think the Safe-T-Plus is the best. I sat thru the Blue Ox seminar on the T-Center and initially I thought it might be better, but after my drive from WV to Colorado and then back to Georgia I think you would be continually resetting the Trucenter every time the road conditions changed. Also, you should be able to get the Safe=T-Plus cheaper than $1,000. The company I've used is www.rallysareus.com and the factory in Austell, GA will install it for you, if your near metro Atlanta sometime. Dave

The other consideration is the STP does not require an electrical connection.

Consider the road master reflex also, mine cost about 600$ to purchase and have fitted.

A new Tru Center is about $1000 on line, I can't see where a dealer has more than $800 in labor seeing they will buy the part for dealer cost...
We have the TC, like it so far. Have had them on both MHs. I like the idea of being able to change the adjustment on the fly. The other cannot do this. Saying you will have to adjust all the time is not correct, you leave it where you feel comfortable and you do have the option when you want or need it.

$1000 installed seems very high. Was just at the FMCA Rally in Indianapolis and the installed price after $50 rebate was $670. Granted that was a "show" price, but your dealer is still way out of line.

I just got back from Austell having a Safe-T-Plus installed at the factory $517.28 out the door on my Ford E450 based class C. It took them no more than an hour and and half including the test drive to adjust.

I installed my Tru Center by myself in a couple of hours. Works great never adjust it unless strong cross winds then I am very happy I can.

I agree that the prices quoted are high. The STP on Amazon is under &500 and I know the labor is not that much to install.

If you haven't driven with Trucenter, you can't appreciate how useful the on-the-fly centering adjustment is. It puts the product in a whole different class, in my opinion, as it adds immensely to driving comfort and lessens driver fatigue.

However in my experience, the product is poorly executed. I have had two of them die from mechanical failure, both after 2-3 years and less than 20,000 miles of service. As much as I enjoyed driving with it, I have decided not to pursue another one after two of them literally came apart while driving.
