Satellite Radio
Hi folks, anyone have issues with their Sirius Satellite radio reception. I know you lose it in certain areas, bridges, etc., seems like mine is going in and out of reception a lot, even when in wide open areas.

We have SiriusXM in all three of our vehicles - 2016 Ford Edge, 2017 F350 Dually and an older 2010 F250. The two newer ones are pretty much flawless, but the 2010 I do have occasional (very rare) dropout when driving down the open road. Seems one particular spot (intersection of I-35W and I-20 in South Fort Worth, Texas). I don't know if there is some electronic interference or what.
That seems to be the only spot I've noticed repeated drop-out - and it almost always happens at that area.
Otherwise very pleased with cross-country reception from Texas to Kentucky to Florida to Mississippi and back to Texas and all areas in between.

Check the connections on the back of the radio. The satellites interface was hanging free in the back and that was causing mine to be intermittent pushed together all the connections and so far no issues.

The only time I have problems is in mountainous terrain or if there are trees overhead or close alongside the road. If there is a “tunnel effect” from the hills or the trees it can block the signal even with everything working perfectly.

On our RED we experienced the same issue and discovered the cause was a cut sirius cable on the roof. The cable was run into the coach through the same hole as the dash radio antenna and was cut when the radio antenna flange was tightened on top of the sirius cable. The solution was to install a new sirius antenna on the roof by drilling a new entry hole into coach and covering the new entry hole and cable in self leveling sealant. The way the original antenna was installed made no sense to me but it probably saved 3 minutes in installation at the factory.
