Hi. I’m a new user of this forum. Spouse and I are seriously looking at the Tiffin Allegro Red 33aa and 37pa. Love them both but especially like the storage and configuration of the 37pa. However, the shorter length of the 33aa is appealing. For those who are experienced rv’ers (we are not), can you offer any advice on what we should consider in selecting the best model for us? We expect we’ll use the coach for both short excursions to national parks and also occasionally for longer periods of time to escape the winter weather.

We test drove a 33 and a 38 and the 38 drove a lot better We ended up buying the 38qra and couldn't be happier.We want to upgrade in a couple of years to a phaeton We are hoping they will build a Phaeton with our floorplan

To us the floor plan made the difference. We prefer a 36 foot RV. Been to Nat Prks, Forestry Service, and Corp of Engineers campgrounds. Never a problem except some only have 30 amp service. Not a problem; carry an adapter and watch your amp usage.

We have a 2017 33aa and we love it. We downsized from a 43 foot Entegra Anthem.

Don't worry about the length difference. It's not a big deal. We get our 40' into most anywhere we want. The 37PA is one of my fav floorplan. Very livable.

Had the same dilemma when we bought, and went with the 33aa since we felt it fit our lifestyle the best. I think it all depends how YOU are intending to use it. We love ours, and haven't found anything since which would cause us to want to move into something else. Rides and drives great, wife shares the driving so makes for really nice travelling.

We are not full timers, typically take 1 or 2 very long multi-month cross country trips a year, and a bunch of shorter 7-10 day trips. We prefer woodsy camp sites, so lean towards state/county/national parks over KOA pull thru type of pack them in CG's. The challenge w/parks isn't necessarily the windy roads thru, but the approaches, turn in's, and grade changes to the individual sites. The 33 is more maneuverable than the 37 in this regard with the shorter wheelbase, and levels easier. It easily packs everything we need, and often travel with one or both of our adult kids (and even a friend at times). We've been in some tight spots, but probably only about 6 in three years where anything bigger couldn't maneuver in.

There's no perfect coach, they're all compromises in one way or the other, so just figure out what is most important to you and how you intend to use it, and find a coach which maximizes/meets your most important 'wants'.

My wife and I went and looked at these two specific models and picked up papers on the 33AA today. The shorter length is ideal for state and federal parks, and the 37PA was going to be hard/impossible to get to the bedroom with the slides in.

Additionally, the 37PA only has a cargo capacity of about 3k, while the 33AA is over 5k. For full-timers this makes a big difference.

Do you mean a plan like the QRA? Isn't the Phaeton QBH very similar?

We traded our 2105 33AA in less than a year after we bought it for 40AH Phaeton we're in now. Really loved the RED, but ours was limited to a 5,000 towing capacity and we needed more space. Also the longer wheelbase on the 40' rides a little better. Don't be afraid to go bigger, we've never been blocked out of a camp because of the size.

I have a 37pa now and wouldn't trade for anything . Had a Fleetwood 33 ft and you don't notice the extra few feet at all. Has not impacted my ability to get into camp grounds . The 37PA does have more storage than the 33aa as my travel partner has the 33aa and we've matched the storage side by side and I have more . The slide out compartment makes it easy to get things in and out.

Had a Cheetah 3312, 33' model, and was never happy with the way it drove. When we got reluctant to drive it because it was such a chore, we traded up to a 40' Discovery 40E, and never looked back. Ride is great, very stable on the road, easy to handle.

I, personally, shied away from over 40' because of the extra weight, tires and potential limits on accessing some CGs, but I am not sure that last factor is real.

Unless you have a particular place you want to frequent that will not allow the >37' coach, I would not worry about anything up to 40'. Have to admit, tho, that is a personal preference.

Just noticed your post and I don't mean to start any wars re Tiffins...

We wrre in search for a small DP and looked long and hard at some RED 33aa.

Long story but we ended up w a Newmar Ventana 3433 and so far really pleased.
You might take a peak and see how they fit your needs...I don't think you can go wrong either way..
Nice to have choices.
Happy to elaborate more on specifics if interested.
