Shower a little cool?

I discovered a solution to a less than ideal temp for our shower. This might apply to others in a late model Tiffin class A with the same shower valve. Forgive me for not including the product manufacturer, it is not obvious and is not marked. Best I can tell you is to look close at the trim ring, as mine has a faint "C" and "H" marked at 6 o'clock and 3 o'clock. Therein is your clue. As delivered, our shower handle turns clockwise from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock. No marking there. Shower would max out at around 100 degrees starting with 60 degree water in the tank. Both Tiffin and Aqua hot advised me that the heater would bring water tremp up 50 to 55 degrees, so I thought that was it.
It turns out, the valve was installed backwards. I rotated it and reassembled it so the handle turns counter clock wise to come on. I also removed the red anti scalding ring in the valve since the AH already has a tempering valve to limit the max temp. Same 60 degree starting temp and my shower now maxes out at 120 degrees, a 60 degree gain. Mix in a little cold by turning the handle as you normally would do, and the pressure increases as well.
As a side note I learned that the incoming water temp can be an issue on especially cold days. My reccomendation is to crank up the temp for the wet bay temp and fill the tank. Operate out of the tank and refill as necessary. This way you can keep your incoming water temp at 60 degrees, plenty warm enough for Aqua Hot to do it's job and allow your shower valve to mix cold and hot water for a nicer experience.

Interesting issue with an innovative solution. Our handle is correctly positioned to rotate counterclockwise, but you doing the sleuthing to figure out your issue with the clockwise turn will surely help others with the same handle set up. Thanks for sharing!
