Shower control replacement

Our 2014 Phaeton has a hair trigger on the shower valve. It is either scalding or freezing, very little room for error. We want to replace it.

I sort of figured that it was just ours, but in doing some research here, it looks like the issue is fairly common. There was a thread in the Newmar Owner forum recently about replacing the shower control with a residential valve. Apparently someone "pioneered" finding a valve that would fit into the rig, but also would allow a good range of hot-to-warm-to-cold water at the pressure in the coach. Several of those folks used a specific Moen valve and were happy with the result.

Before I try to buy something and replace ours, has anyone done this in a Phaeton? If so, can you recommend the brand/model that you used?

Thanks.

Chuck

I too want to replace my shower controls and the wand on a 2010 Tiffin Phaeton. Looking forward to suggestions.
