Red face Shower door re-do

I have a 2003 Phaeton. We love it, have fixed it up (several upgrades) and maintain it regularly. My husband is handicapped and it works for us real well except for 1 issue that has arisen. My husband has gained a lot of weight (due to his meds) and it is torture for him to fit thru the narrow glass shower door (14"). He thinks we should take out the glass door panels and door and just install a circular shower curtain. I am OPPOSED to that due to potential bathroom flooding. The shower unit is a 3 sided angular thing that is installed in a corner. I would like to see if anyone thinks the unit can be modified with a circular track and round door so that if it can open at least 1/2 way he can get in and out without tearing up his skin. Thank you anyone for your response(s).

I have been looking at this exact thing. I was at Lowes and the have a 1/4 round shower fixture that you just install the pan the the doors go on top. I think you can (depending on your level of skill) do this. Or have someone do this for you. DreamLine Prime White Acrylic Wall and Floor Round 3-Piece Corner Shower Kit (Actual: 76.75-in x 33-in x 33-in)
