Slide out Solenoid

I will be replacing the slide out solenoid, it appears to be just making sure that all wires are put on the new solenoid as the old one. Any thing that I need to be aware of the could mess up the install? One question I have should I disconnect the power prior to doing anything? Any advice would be appreciated.

If there is power to any of the cables connecting to the solenoid, yes, disconnect the power.

Following, my main slide solenoid seems to have bitten the dust. Slide creeping out from storage position.

In your case it's a different solenoid. The one giving you a problem is on the back side of the hydraulic pump. There are two of them that allow the slide to operate and they close to keep pressure in the hoses to either hold the slide open or closed. If one goes bad, as in your case, both should be replaced. These solenoids screw into the back side of the hydraulic pump and wires simply plug into them.
