Slow draining kitchen sinks
Ok we picked up our rig from storage (3 month storage) and now all of a sudden the kitchen sinks are draining very, very, slow. Other sinks and shower drain fine.
Ideas?
Thanks

Once our kitchen sink wouldn’t drain. We found the air gap was plugged up.

Most of the kitchen sinks use a HEPVO valve in place of a traditional P trap. The rubber duckbill can get clogged up with congealed grease. Use some drain cleaner like Drano, etc on it to see if that will dissolve some of the gunk. Do not use snake drain un-cloggers as that can destroy the valve.

Valve or P-trap, take it out and clean it.

Thanks all.
We actually cleared it with boiling water, baking soda and vinegar. Works perfect now.

I used that procedure on our prior '06 Bounder every other year since we got it. In 13 seasons of use, never had a single issue with slow drains. No need to spend lots of dollars on some caustic drain cleaner. Simple is better sometimes.

How much baking soda and vinegar did you mix with how much water?

I pour most of a tea kettle of boiling water down the drain just to get some crud flushed out first. I sprinkle in 1/2 a box of Arm&Hammer. Follow that with a solution of 1C hot water + 1C vinegar & put the drain stopper(s) in. Let sit about 5 minutes. Flush with another pot of boiling water.

That is exactly what we did and we were amazed to say the least. Much safer on you system then drano and other coarse chemicals.
