Squeaky door

Hi all. We have a squeaky door in our 2019 red 37BA. If I pull the door in while driving it stops, any suggestions for a fix? Or is this the way it is? Don’t feel like holding the door in all the time[emoji23]!

Thanks

I can only assume this is your drivers or passenger door that squeaks? Try putting some vaseline on the rubber seal around the door frame and see it that works for now. Otherwise, your door latch may need to be adjusted (move striker inboard) which may make the door harder to slam shut.

+1 on above advise. You can also use slide seal lube.

Are the doors closing all the way to the second catch in the latch? When ours was new I had to slam the door really hard to get it latched all the way. If it was just in the first catch, the door would rattle and squeak. Once it's closed firmly there was no squeaking. The newer models have adjustable door latches that can be tightened.

In your case you would move the striker outward for adjustment. If you don't feel comfortable doing the latch adjustment, any garage mechanic should be able to do the quick adjustment in the driveway.

The lock latches can also rub causing a squeak. White lithium grease works on the metal parts or perhaps T9 Boeshield.

I prefer to condition all rubber with 303 even if not in direct sun.

Hi all, added extra gasketing, adjusted the latch on the screen door, some lubrication and all seems good! Thanks for the help!

Lt. Dan had the same problem I had - over tight door that I had to adjust. PTL is the door manufacturer. Go to their web sight and you will find instructions on how to adjust the striker bolt. Easy to do.

Three wraps of electrical tape stopped my squeak. When it starts squeaking again a replace the tape usually 6 months to a year.
