Steering problems with 28 breeze

Just got a 2011 but are fighting steering problems. Now I find out that the first ones made had the problem. Will get with red bay tomorrow regarding the fix. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve. At 70, this coach wanders from side to side.

Alan, Jump to the Tiffin forum and research the early steering problems with the Breeze which resulted in a suspension redesign some time in 2012. When I was looking for my first RV, the 28' Breeze was my first choice but after a 2 hours discussion with the factory, I decided against the purchase. You will most likely end up adding a Safety-T-Plus or True Center stabilizer to the front end.

Good luck

Hi, i have a 2011 28BR and had the same issues. Firstly the new coach was delivered with 110psi in all the tires, on weighing the coach they only required 80psi, this made a huge difference. Next step was to check the alignment and ride height as tiffin released new figures for this. Alignment and ride height needed adjustment, after this all was well and the coach sits at 70mph srtaight as an arrow. I have fitted a Tru-center but refused to do so until the coach tracked true, otherwise it is just a bandaid for hidden problems. I fitted the Tru-Center in case of blow out etc. I have the new alignment specs and can send them to you if you wish.

Hope this helps

Regards
Dave

Smile Thanks Dave

I got with Nathan at tiffin and have my coach at the freightliner dealer in bryan Texas. Tiffin is to give them from end settings on Monday. I would appreciate you sending the settings you were given. I am hopeful that I have the same results as you. I then plan to install the safe t plus steering device to aid in case of blowout etc.

Thanks a million for the info.

Good luck with your Steering Issues. I have a 2012 Breeze. 32 ft. I thought I might have had issues too. After having the tire pressure checked when I had the generator serviced she tracked just fine. Last month I went on a 500 mile trip. I had no steering problems. I kept my speed about 55-60 and the mileage jumped up to 13.6. I used 38 gallons on the 519 mile trip. I am looking forward to my next trip.
