The door switch is a push button mounted in the hinge side of the door. This controls whether or not the steps go in or out when you open and close the door.

The step switch mounted on the panel with all of switches is on the right. It turns off the step and allows the step to stay out when you are parked.

Were you having a problem? The switch mounted in the hinge area can require shimming in some coaches.

If you have Kwki brand steps and they are not working the majority of the time the problem is the step motor. The motor is known to go bad every 2 years or so. Depending on year model of your rig Tiffin will send you a replacement motor under warranty. The motor is also available from Amazon. I just had to replace my 4 year old motor while traveling through Mesa Verde country. I rebuilt it 2 years ago so the 2 year period was confirmed by my motor. I always carry a KwKi step spare motor.
