Swapping radio/nav with rear view camera screen

I have a 2014 Allegro 38QBA and am constantly reaching to switch radio stations and mess with the nav. I would like to put the radio/nav where the rear view camera screen is and vice versa to make it more convenient. Have any of you done this and if so, encountered any problems other than possibly splicing/lengthening the wiring??? Thank you!

I've redone my dash, but kept the locations because I wanted my wife to be able to reach the sat/radio. There is plenty of room behind the dash, at least on mine because it had the old Triplevison CRT backup monitor. I replaced that with a 9" flatscreen just to cover that huge hole. You shouldn't have any problems.

I see you replaced your old triple vision. Just curious what you used? Mine is now blank I cannot find a replacement rear camera. I have a RED as well. Thanks.

I don't know the name of the monitor. It is just a 9" model large enough to cover the hole in the dash. I found it on Amazon. I am using a RVM-771 color camera from Rear View Safety Systems. It works well, but as I like to use it as a rear view mirror, it is a compromise between looking down and looking back. I am thinking of changing to a split system with 2 side-by-side cameras, one for backing up, and the other to look down the road. If I do that, I would consider selling the camera and bracket. It is custom made and a perfect fit for a Tiffin RED.

Nice job. I guess you could use the existing wires. I may be interested if you decide to upgrade. I have one issue to overcome. The wire is too short or wrapped around something. I can reach the disconnect point!

Another quick question. Believe it or not, Tiffin forgot to cut the return air hole in my rear furnace. They fixed it in Red Bay, but it still seems to cycle on and off. I am thinking they did not provide enough return air. Where is you return air vent located? The cut ours on the floor under the closet. Thanks.
