A couple of things:
Batteries can test fine voltage wise, but fail when load tested. If the voltage is good and you still have a no start situation, then pull the batteries and have them load tested. Do you know the last time the batteries were replaced? Did you try the booster switch?
You are better off not starting your engine unless you plan to take it out on 30-60 min drive and thoroughly warm it up. Idling a diesel engine will a) not warm it up; b) cause unnecessary engine wear, c) wreak havoc on the pollution control system.
