I am still on the fence and have another question. How well do the new 2014 tiffins keep their cool ( AC wise ) in the heat of summer?

I don't think a 2014 has faced a summer yet. Just sayin.

Well the sumrmer here starts end of March or so till close to December (we were running our ac wide open on our Thanksgiving trip) so I am sure some of the 2014 units have faced hot weather just sayin( it is a southern thing)

We had our 2013 35QBA gasser to Disney then Key West last June. Temps in the high 90s with high humidity. It stayed very cool and the AC actually cycled off for decent periods. Even when the front AC is on it is very quiet compared to our old TT.

I'm not aware of any wholesale changes from 2013 to 2014, so your experience should be similar.

Bought my 2012 Tiffin in April 2012 and between then and May 2013, camped over 125 days in Key West, Fl at different times. My two air conditioners performed great.

Our AC units work just fine. We picked our coach up in September and have faced hot and cold weather since then.

BTW, the 2014 AC units are the same as the 2013, 2012, 2011, ... If you are going to get a 40 ft unit and will be spending most of your time in the desert SW during the summer, get the 3 AC unit option.

WE are looking at a 45 lp ,I understand tiffin added a radiant barrier in 2014 models. Our current coach will not keep cool .

Radiant barrier? a foil layer above the foam insulation? Has anyone seen this via the factory tour?

I also noted that no mention of dual-pane glazing. Assume all the comments above were on a level playing field of "insulated glass windows" on all coaches. Did any place radiant pads at both shower skylight and fan vents as well? This is my default summer-heat deterrent.

Our 2014 purchased in August 2013 is amazing with cooling. The 3 a/c unites work perfectly and have not had to run all three yet and we live in Florida !

Don't you need the 10kw generator with 3-15k a/c units?
