Tiffin Allegro Red 33AA

Hi everyone,
I am new to this site and forum. My wife and I are interesting in knowing if anyone out there owns a newer Allegro Red 33AA and might want to share thoughts and experiences with the coach. We are very interested in this model, however, this will be our first coach. Interested in handing and towing being a shorter wheelbase coach. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think you are going to hear a lot of good things about the 33aa.

We looked them extensively, and there is a lot to like.

One thing the dealer might not tell you... you can option one with 2 15k A/C units over the 13.5K units. More than likely dealer inventory will have the 13.5k units, but I would want the 15's

You'll want to look at a build/order sheet so that you can quantify any other options to see if there is something you might want and then you have that info to check against the dealer stock.

Have one, and will be happy to answer any general or specific/detail questions you may have. I've been all thru the systems on this coach. Pm me and we can trade phone numbers, as we're on the road for another 3 weeks.

We have a 2014 and love ours. When we did our build we changed out the front seats and the inverter. I thought I had read that this practice has stopped.

The Magnum inverter from the Phaeton and Bus is now and option. The seats and modifications of a similar nature can be done as part of the build as long as: 1. Tiffin has the part you want swapped in stock; and 2. it fits without extensive modification. Just remember that Tiffin is an assembler/manufacturer and not a custom motorhome builder.

Kbhine, what inverter did you upgrade to in your year?

Are you talking about the ms2000 pure sine wave, or something different?

I don't remember the model offhand, but in our 2014, it was the Pure Sine Wave inverter.

We have a 2013 33aa that we bought when it was only 10 months old, a real baby. It is in great condition and a pleasure to own. It is our first motor home so we enrolled in the driving course at Lazydays in Tampa FL. I highly recommend it and I highly recommend working with Lazydays on your purchase if you can. I have a (distant) background driving tractor trailer rigs so I am very comfortable driving it. My wife also does a great job and usually shares about 15 - 20 % of the driving.
The coach has everything we need and is very comfortable. We have spent the past two winters living full time in it. We tow a convertible on a tow dolly and you'd never know it was there so it's a good thing there is a rear camera. We average 10 mpg but have gotten as low as 8.5 and as much as 11.0. We have a 340hp in ours but I think Tiffin is now using a 360 hp in their newer coaches.
We have had a few repairs, some under warranty, others not. Since the Tiffin 1 yr. warranty was almost expired when we bought it we got an extended warranty from Cornerstone. It paid off. I particularly like the Freightliner chassis. You can have it services all over the country as most Freightliner shops are OK working on MH's.
We attended the FMCA Rally in Springfield Mass a couple weeks ago and looked in dozens of coaches. It reaffirmed that we made a good decision.
Good Luck
