Tiffin Allegro RED Air Conditioners

Looking at Allegro RED 37BA motorhomes. How important is the option for a third, A/C unit?
If you have experience with recent models of this coach (or the 37PA), at about what ambient temperatures do you find you need to run all three?
What other advantages for having 3 units? Such as not running rear unit at night for quieter sleeping?
Hope to pull trigger soon. So, any quick responses are appreciated.
Thanks.

We had a RED 34QFA with two ACs and didn't feel that they were inadequate, but that was a smaller coach than the 37. We now have a AB 40AP with three ACs and and in really warm weather it seems they are all necessary. Besides the advantage you mentioned of being quieter for sleeping, I would choose the third AC option just for the better cooling/heating capability.

Another advantage to the third air conditioner is in case one goes out you will still have two. Our '15 RED 38QRA only had two ACs and one failed when it was fairly new, leaving us with only one AC in warm New Mexico. You will never regret having the third, but might with two.

We picked up our 37BA in December and first trip out is this weekend. We optioned in 3, cause 3 is better than 2 (in most cases).

2018 37PA with three ACs, in Key West as I type, 84 degrees, all three ACs on but front one seems to turn on more frequently. Coach temp set at 78. I would recommend three.

We added an additional 3rd AC to our 2018 37PA when we ordered it and we are SO GLAD we did. In he summer (especially in the SW) we ran all three all the time. We usually keep the day temp around 76 and night at 72 or so and the three do quite well maintaining these temps.

For us it was worth the extra cost.

We opted for three on our BA. Helps keep things comfortable without out running the front and back units only. Also, the units are all connected so as Lt Dan said if one is down you still have two to cool the unit. Good luck!

Better to have 3 & don't use all 3, than to have 2 & find you needed more.

Our two previous coachs, one a 37', had two units. Both struggled, or would fail, to keep up in really hot temperatures. Current 40' Tiffin Phaeton has three units - no problem. Have been in 110-115 degree temperatures with it. Plus the advantage of a built in backup in case of a failure. Also will cool down in more normal hot weather quickly by initially bringing all three online, then dropping back to two.

I'll not have another coach with just two units.

YAY! Now, if you don't already have a Amazon Prime Membership, now's the time to do so. I foresee a lot of pkgs coming to outfit a new Tiffin.
