If you are referring to the DVD player (ours is in our bedroom), then yes it has a remote. Ours is an LG player, so the remote is an LG. Our remote controls the surround sound which is tied into the DVD player.

Another thing to check, there's a rocker switch inside the DVD/satellite cabinet (see below circled item) in our coach that has to be ON before you'll get DVD pictures to the TV's. That is the power switch for the splitters as well as a small cooling fan for the cabinet.

You won't be able to select Blu-Ray on the TV menu until that switch is ON (the menu item will be greyed out until you do). Ask me how I know. There's nothing in your Tiffin "suitcase" that'll tell you that. Only from iRV2 members did I find this out.

Bought my used coach in February, many questions... 5-8 calls to Tiffin different times of the day, never dropped the call, always got the parts or answer I needed. Heading over to Red Bay in January to take advantage of all the former Tiffin employees who got tired of working for Red Dirt Rural AL wages and opened their own shops.

Tiffin is so overwhelmed with Warranty work they cannot work on any bus out of Warranty, so there is Lots of work to be had, and the good guys are booked a month out. They’re a lot less expensive and more knowledgeable on Tiffin than blasted RV Dealers (but don’t tell ‘em, Please!).

I'm so mad I think I'll go back into this forum and re-read "Tiffin vs Newmar". I presently own a 2018 Phaeton and I don't know for how much longer.
I have called numerous times and have had no issue. Waited 10 minutes at the most. If i wasn't satisfied with that i guess i should have called earlier. No better professional in a company.

At present I can hear the CD on surround sound very loudly but no picture and am unable to change that problem with the remotes that I do have. The question----does my 2018 40QBH Phaeton have a remote for the CD player? If it does I need to order one. Just as a heads up, don't call Tiffin service during lunch hour since I was told that EVERYONE in the service dept. goes to lunch at the same time yet the phone will tell you that you are first in line and someone will be with you shortly. Oh and after an hour and a half the phone just hangs up on you.
Yes there is a remote for the Sony DVD. The sound you are hearing is probably the cooling fan in the cabinet next to the DVD. Flip the power switch inside the cabinet on the wall and see what happens.

Tiffin's customer service has been exemplary in the 3 1/2 years we have owned our Tiffin 36GH. I have almost never failed to contact a knowledgeable tech and when one was not immediately available, I have received a call back in very short order. And to add to this, the response to my issue exactly addressed the problem whether it was a technical answer or a replacement part. (Most of the time the part was at no cost, even though the coach was past the warranty period).

Tiffin customer service has been outstanding for me. I have a 2014 33aa and the few problems I have had they have helped me 100%. I have never waited more than 5 minutes and when the tech answered my call it was never hurried and my questions were answered in detail. I am glad I bought a Tiffin motorhome and in this day and age to be able to contact a company the size of Tiffin and be given the consideration I have received from them is really great! I am very happy with my motorhome.

mc,
maybe at newmar they have remotes that are tied to the tv/dvd!! not making fun. we all lose stuff!! just hard to blame that on tiffin.
ref the loud racket... i had that happen. i asked a friend. he laughed and said... yep. you went optical... he took the remote and in 1 minute solved it... i'm tech challenged and sorry but can't tell you what he did... i think it relates to the whole house speaker system?
ref service at tiffin... i was there last week. mid morning i was talking to our 2 guys... all of a sudden one said something like "excuse me, i've got to go. and he turned and walked off... the other looked at him then at me and said.. sir, it's break time...
similar at lunch..
i'm on my second tiffin. i'm always talking to someone in a couple of minutes... if i sat on the phone for 10 minutes (and way before an hour) i'd hang up and call again.
if you decide to leave the tiffin family, may i suggest you buy a coachmen... company has been around a real long time. i'm being a s.a. our first mh was a coachmen.. i was never never able to speak to a coachmen employee and they would never return an email...
best of luck on whatever you do.

mc,
our open road is in the barn. all bundled up and we are in severe weather.
thinking about the loud music...
i'm 99% that the dvd/cd/blue ray has a power button... if the music is still blaring, try just hitting the power button to cut off all output from that machine.

and. remotes are usually cheap. try calling lg (i believe that is our mfg company... or whoever made your dvd/cd/blueray/? i'll bet they'll send you a remote for the unit for just a few bucks, if not for free.

good luck

Easy fix. Just go to the Tiffin site, parts dept. Enter your vehicle info and the site will list all the parts for your rig.

Parts are categorized under headings like electronics or bathroom etc. Select your remote and they FedX it to you asap.

I e-mailed them with a question with a picture of my concern once and they got back to me within an hour.

I used to work for uncle sam and learned "if it aint written down, then it never happened. " Sad but true. It seems "plausible denial" unless you have written proof. With the economy so good and jobs so plentiful folks are moving up and good customer service people are hard to find and retain. My time is valuable to me so I don't waste it with phone calls. I prefer to handle things myself online whenever possible. Good luck!

We have only had our Tiffin Breeze since March. Broke down on shake down trip for Memorial Day weekend. A call for assistance from the road put me on hold for about 15 minutes. Once answered they told me to get it to my nearest authorized Cummins shop as nothing could be done on the road. Once at the shop they called Tiffin and were told the part would not be available until August (this was first of June). Cummins shop called me, I called Tiffin and asked for Bob, got his wife who had a conversation with parts and service. I was called back a short time late telling me the part would be in next week. They overnighted it. Great response, would have been great service if I hadn't had to call the owner to get proper service. Overall we are happy with their service. It is slow, hold times tend to be long on other calls I have had, but they have always taken care of us.

Tiffin service call

My experience has been great! Sure iay be on hold for a minute or more, but when t talk to someone, they are on the front line and have been able to walk me through and resolve any issue I called on. Can't say the same about other companies I have called.
