Tiffin Factory Camping
Anyone down in Red Bay now thinking of a return trip there when I head out in July. We were there in April and they took us in after 5 days because camper was only 1 month old. After we left we ran in to a few more problems but we were very happy with the people and services we received. Back home for a month and a half and our dealer can't get to us till July 7th two days after we were to leave heading to S.D.

Tiffin Red Bay
If you haven't visited Tiffin RV Network, you should check it out. There is an entire forum chapter dedicated to Red Bay campers.

Can someone explain how the Tiffin Factory Tour works
How many days a week?
Does it require an appointment?
If you are doing tour can you camp in the tiffin campground with an RV other than tiffin?
Thanks in advance

We have an MH on order and the factory ( we have the build sheet showing and confirmed by Tiffin) will be closed for a week for the 4th of July, so double check when you want to be there that they are open!

1, Monday thru Friday
2, No, show up at factory entrance at 8:30AM and tell them you want to go on the tour.
3, Yes you could except the Tiffin campground is full this time of year with only a few dry camping sites available, maybe???

There is a nice campground east of Red Bay just off Hwy 24, Bear Creek Lake I think. Near the paint facility in Belmont there is a campground at Tishomingo State Park. You will need a toad regardless, the campground is at the service center, the tour is about a mile away at the assembly plant.

It's Little Bear Creek Reservoir. Nice campground plus cabins.

My husband is down in Red Bay now. He told me there was a Class c in the campground. They were there looking for a new rig. I think there is a two week wait for service.

If you need service that is not warranty, there is a McKinney RV right across the street that can do the work. They have a football field of parts, and can do the work in hours not days.
I have a busted rh mirror and they did 4 other things that needed attention. I was in at 7AM and back on the road at 10 AM.

tiffin campground
Well have to tell you this place is in full swing with repairs. We pulled in to Red Bay yesterday and they have already came to check on our repairs. The last time I was here we stayed in dry camp a week. We are already in full hook up mode now. There doesn't appear to be half as many campers here this time. But for the most part most are here for Atwood leg repairs or paint work. Our pull in number was 289 will see when that gets us in to the first bay door. On a brighter note all 2014 models are one in three of what they work on first.
