Tiffin, lets ditch the central vac for a closet wall mounted Dyson V8 option.
We can use the Dyson car charger, and tap off the closet light wire.
Alot less to fit/install, and easier to service.
It's wall mount is tough enough to just snap in and go, that's not going anywhere.
It's in 12 volt too, so the vac works everywhere.

Wife has not used our centrsl vac once. She has a Shark Vac that is cordless and is easier to use.

We have also not used the central vac system yet. We have a Shark that has a long cord that is very easy to use and it has been effective in cleaning both our bare floors and throw rugs. We've talked to many who don't ever seem to use the central vac system. This would be a good option for Tiffin to explore I think.

We don't use the central vacuum. Have Hoover battery powered unit instead.

We use ours regularly .
We also like the quietness of having the central vac located in the basement so you don’t hear it inside the coach

Economics:
Dyson V8 - $349
Intervac Central $199
Personally, we use the central vac all the time and having the accessories under the bed instead of something hanging on the wall saves space since my DW already fills the closet. I also like having the noise contained in the basement instead of inside the coach.

Have used our central vac very rarely.
When we head out the door we put our iRobot Roomba on clean and let it go to work.

I'll keep the central vac, thank you. We use it every trip, never have to charge a battery and it handles every thing we throw at it. To each their own.

I have to go with the "pro" central vac folks. We have almost 80,000 miles on the Bus and use it all the time. Our only complaint is that when using Resolve carpet cleaner the dry powder tends to clog the pores in the collection bags and they will blow out at times. We use a Dyson for vacuuming up that powder, but for all other jobs, the built-in gets the call.

We use the central vac and it works quite well. We keep the attachments in the dryer.

Everyone using a dyson or shark vac that has carpets...use a real vac that is empty right after using your dyson or shark and see the nastiness you get out of your carpets. My dyson needs a switch so I picked up a cheapie upright and was amazed at the dirt in one small test section.

DW used the central vac once and hated it. Dragging the lonnng hose all over the place and getting it caught on stuff was a pain. Found a rechargeable Dyson V-6 at a yard sale for $5. All it needed was a good cleaning and it works great. That is what we both use. Can also be used to clean the dinghy by removing the power head and attaching accessories. We store it in the rear bathroom when not in use and lay it on the bed when traveling. Can't find a wall sturdy enough to mount it in our 36LA.
