Tiffin Open Road decision

Just left the Tiffin dealer and looking at ordering a 2020 Open Road 34PA. It has everything the wife wants. The initial quote was off 23% from sticker. Since I am ordering from the dealer shouldn't I get a better price than one they have ordered for inventory. Seems their cost should be minimal. What would be a good % discount. First RV and a bit nervous.

I would put together a build sheet and ask another dealer or three to quote their price. If you're wiling to travel I know one I could recommend. Davis MotorMart in Memphis. Ask for Mike Hooks, NFI, he treated us very well.

Even if you're aren't keen on traveling to pick up, once you see the numbers, it should allow you to bargain with more confidence.

Picking ours up at Davis, the savings and the subsequent 2 hour trip down to Red Bay was the high light of our year so far. I suspect there are other dealers known for offering better discounts than 23%. I only am familiar with the one mentioned.

Davis is one of the 3 often mentioned regarding Tiffin. The other 2 are Ingram and Sherman. The normal discount is usually between 25% to 30%. Anything in between is good. Many get 28% off MSRP. You said 23% off sticker. Is the sticker Tiffins MSRP or the dealers price?

The 23% is off the the Tiffin price. Used the tiffin price list for the optional equipment. appreciate your response

Good friend ordered a 37BA RED from local dealer at a RV show last fall. Clearly stated that he expects 30% off. Took 4 hours of negotiation to get to 28% off which was close enough for him. They kept coming back with offers and he kept rejecting. Persistence might pay off.
