What year and model is your Tiffin, and what kind of issues are you experiencing?

There are some known defects from approximately 2007 to late 2012 that Tiffin is taking care of either at Red Bay or authorized repair facilities depending on where you're located.

Unless you're buying a Newell, Prevost conversion or Foretravel I think you'll find problems at some time with something. Except for the earlier brands they're all pretty much built on an assembly line and things happen and modifications are made as problems surface.

We now own our 2nd Tiffin Allegro Open Road and we have had minor problems with both of them.

If you haven't joined the Tiffin RV Network you should check it out.

Not to cast doubt on the OP but this is his/her one an only post and a rather vague one at that.

All motorhomes have "issues" but are they quality problems? Someone needs to step up and define quality and its misuse on these forums. Adjustments, third part equipment problems, and so on are not quality problems. Bad engineering and manufacturing practices that lead to systematic failure should be the only things considered quality issues.

Here is a list of some of the manufacturing defects that could affect many Allegro Buses and Phaetons built between approximately 2007 and 2012. Not all three apply to all years.
  1. Rotting wet bay floor - The title pretty much says it all. The wet bay floors are rotting because of the material used and lack of proper water proofing. Tiffin has a new floor system they are installing.
  2. Roof radius rail cracking - Tiffin installed one piece roofs which included a radius rail that was then attached to the side wall. The radius portions of the roofs would start showing hairline cracks through the paint revealing the white fiberglass. If not dealt with the cracks would continue to get wider and longer, and in a few cases, would travel onto the roof itself requiring a complete roof replacement. The fix for just the radius portion is to cut off the fiberglass radius sections at the flat part of the roof and install a radius formed aluminum rail. These aluminum rails run the full length of the DS of the coach, and two shorter sections on the PS.
  3. Rotting DS slide floor. Moisture is allowed to seep in the front corner of the floor while driving in wet weather. It then spreads to a large portion of the floor. The fix is to completely remove the slide from the coach and replace the floor and properly seal the front corner.
Tiffin has been great about covering the repair of these items at no cost even for other than the original purchaser. For those of us that are located a long distance from Red Bay, Tiffin has made arrangements with numerous RV repair facilities to handle items 1 & 2 (unless a roof replacement is needed, which can only be done at Red Bay). Item 3 also can only be done at Red Bay.

I have had the roof rail repair taken care of in CA, will probably have the wet bay floor done later this year by the same facility and my DS floor is not showing any signs of rotting.

These issues are well documented in many discussions on the TRVN forum Tiffin RV Network for anyone that might be interested.

Maybe the Op should be a tad more specific with such "Tiffin quality issues." This is the kind of question that can open the ole can of worms.

As to the question: We're on our 3rd Tiffin product and the answer is "yes" but they have all been taken care of free of charge, even if out of warranty!

I just had another problem with mine. The door awning wouldn't come in when I was getting ready to leave Topsail last week. Boy, they just don't make 'em like they use to. That motor is only 7 years old and it's only be sitting out in the weather since we bought the coach. You'd thought they would have put a drain hole in the bottom of it like the new ones have. Good thing it never rains here in Florida or it probably would have gone out a long time ago. Not only that, I'm going to have to spend money to have the annual M2 service done on the chassis next month plus have the transmission serviced.

Gee, if I recall correctly, we had problems with our space ships. But then, they were all built on low bid.

I agree the OP was quite vague but In fairness, he has also posted on the Tiffin RV Network and his posts are more specific. He apparently has a 2013 30GA that he is having issues with.
