I heard from AsstChief7 that Cruzer and the other Admins are working very hard on the HUGE task of restoring the server. It will hopefully be back up and running in the next day or so.

It got me while I was on the site. Wish I could remember which post it was buried in. Had a heck of a time getting rid of it. Finally had to restore computer to an earlier date.

Hope they are able to get it up and runing soon.

I don't believe it was linked to a specific post but rather the "New Posts" link. Once clicked on, it generated a generic pop up box with a warning message similar to something your Operating System or Internet security software would produce. Regardless of clicking on OK or Cancel it began downloading Cyber Security software etc onto your computer and once installed it hijacked your browser. If I had clicked on the Back button of the browser or Shift F4 (close window) instead the download could have been averted. I used the following link and 20 step process to quickly and easily scrub that junk/@#$% off my desktop and laptop. It took 20-30 minutes to accomplish but the computer is NOW protected with additional malware software.

Remove Cyber Security (Uninstall Guide)

I use the new posts link all the time but somehow avoided the virus. Maybe my spyware program blocked it etc.

I hope they do ok at getting everything back up soon.

We've determined that the bug wasn't in the PHP coding or the database and we were able to save all of the existing data. It'll be a bit yet but it will be up and running with a clean install, a new firewall, and some code tweaks. I remember when IRV2 had similar problems a few years back and some data was unfortunately lost. We found we had a similar situation here in regard to insufficient backups by the ISP. Fortunately, we've been blessed and we won't have to lose any data.

Okay, gotta get back to work now.

And I had NO idea how addicted I was until it was gone. Ouch. One more time. Thank You for all the work done by a select few to operate and maintain the Tiffin RV Network.

Another thanks for the work on the Tiffin Forum, I knew I was hooked :-)

I'm missing out on the latest scoop and I have a new Bus being started next week, I plan to be in RB on the 11th to see it all the way through. I hope to meet some of the Tiffin forum guys over my stay.

I know what you mean. It's only been a couple of days but boy do I miss it! Thank you to the admins who do so much to keep it up and running.
