Has anyone had trouble with the transfer switch engauging after unpluging and trying to run on generator? I have a 07 allegro bus and we went back on the road after being plugged in fro 3 months and now we can't get the generator to power the bus we are showing power at the transfer switch from the generator but the contacts don't make up we manually push the contacts on but they won't stay.

We had this problem and the fault was in the time delay circuit board. To test this you have to open your transfer switch and flick the tiny dip switch to by pass time delay. If you get power to your coach from genny after doing this, the next step is to replace the circuit board ( its very cheap ). You can use your generator in by pass mode but you wont have any delay. I would turn main breaker off, start genny, wait a minute or two and then put breaker back on. Did this for a couple of months before replacing circuit board.

Well, when my transfer switch failed.. That is exactly what happened.

Shore power ok, no transfer to generator.

I could not find any by pass for time delay looks like my transfer switch was made by tiffin so I disconnected my gen feed to the transfer switch and put a cord end on it and plugged in my shore line for the journey home and will deal with it later at home

In our transfer case the dip switch is on a 1 by 2 inch circuit board and its very tiny. So small you almost need a screwdriver to switch it. I managed with my finger.
