Triple Vision back up camera

I have the system that looks like Tiffin bought too many of these in the early 90s and just kept using them. Anyway, sorry for my rant. The screen is blank and Tiffin says they do not stock any more camera. I tried to check the rear connection, but it seems to not have enough slack in the line to reach the connection point on the real panel. Has anyone found the screen was blank due to a loose connection or is it usually the camera? I have a picture on the left and right cameras.

I have found a supplier that has the camera, but it has a 25 percent restock fee. I am thinking about getting the part and seeing if the Tiffin crew at Tampa can help me get it corrected.

I suggest you visit the Tiffin RV Network website and ask there. Lot's more Tiffin owners to help you through this one.

Just one thought - have you checked the connections at the monitor? Sometimes they come loose and you think it is a bad camera.

Locate your video switch box and check the connection from your rear camera. Mine was loose and when I snapped it back into place all was good again.

Thank you.

Were you checking on the back of the monitor or where the camera is is connected in the rear of the coach? My wire on the rear of the coach will not pull out far enough to disconnect or check the connection outside the coach. Tiffin says it must be stuck on something. I will check the monitor again, but still not sure how to get the wire in the back undone without it falling down into the coach and then unretrievable.

Also, maybe I am not aware of something on this system. What is a video switch box and where was yours located? Is it between the monitor and the camera?

Not completely familiar with your layout but there has to be a switch box ahead of the display. Mine will switch to a side camera with a turn signal. My box is located in the dash area behind the video screen.

Lost rear camera connection

It turned out to be a bad connecting wire under the dash behind the display. They made us a connector brace for the coupling wire. It holds the connection so it will not vibrate lose anymore, eyelet on one side and clamp the couples around the other wire holding them together. These campers take a lot of vibration riding down the highway.

Intermittent display

Hi there,

I just purchased a 2008 Allegro Open Road 32LA. My camera moniter seemed to be working properly. Now it only displays every 20 seconds....on 20 seconds...off 20 seconds...on 20 seconds...you get the picture! Haha! It also seems like the view out of the rear camera has changed and is almost fish eye, but the side cameras seem fine. Any ideas?
