Type of roof
Does Tiffin have the same type of roof (EPDM or TPO) on all their RV's? I want to get the correct sealant/coating.

I believe Tiffin uses TPO on their roofs, verify with them to be sure. TPO does not require anything other than washing several times per year and seal around all penetrations with proper TPO primer and sealant.

They are one piece fiberglass on all Class A models, at least of “recent” model years; not sure of older models. As for the OPs ‘16 32SA it is certainly fiberglass.
As for sealants or coatings on fiberglass roofs, there are plenty of opinions and related threads as to what to apply, if anything, to minimize oxidation of the fiberglass. Don’t like the idea of applying something that makes the roof even more slippery than it already is when wet.
I’ve applied nothing, but wash it several times a year using car wash soap, being very careful (working a lot sitting / on my hands and knees) - car wash soap on the roof is really slippery.........
Not sure about the roof type on the Wayfarer Class C.......

You have a fiberglass roof. No sealants or coatings required but, if you want something to do, give it a coat of wax once a year.

That and check all sealed areas for cracks or gaps in the sealant. Doesn’t hurt to do this a few times a year before leaks occur.

The roof for Tiffins was one of my “deciding” factors on Tiffin, Winnebago or Newmar (All Class A Gas Engines...can not afford a diesel pusher). Tiffin has a full fiberglass roof on their Class A motorhomes. Did a ton of reading and research...that was the way to go for us...we plan on keeping the coach for a minimum of 10yrs. When I first got it home...cleaned off all of the excessive dicor (little pieces here and there...or the excess that was randomly on the roof...not doing anything)...good wash with hand mit and car wash soap. I then applied that new ceramic spray / coating (Hydro Silx)...nothing sticks to the roof...maybe a rinse, quick wipe off...and done. Plan on applying once a year... Good Luck! First year owner a MH...wish I would have done this years ago!!!

get roof cleaned and have people cleaning roof spread mop and glow on it. I've done this twice now and don't get run off streaks on the sides of the MH. Dave
