Unusual plugin

In my 2004 Allegro Bay where the converter is, there is a cord coming out of a metal box on the front side of the the converter , who's 12/3 wire with plugin plugs into a wall socket which has a round plastic sheath with wires coming out of it's case and into the floor area to who knows where. Anyone have any ideas of its purpose of this plugin is? Thanks.

Frogman-

Without pictures or a make/model/description of the converter, any answer is a guess.

Some converters are corded. Their AC comes through a standard 3-prong AC plug, rather than being directly wired to an AC source.

Not a lot to go on, but it is either the power going in to supply the converter, or if it is a converter/inverter, it may be power going out to the tv's from inverted (120 v) battery power. If it is power going out, the end of the plug going out of the inverter should be a female.

It sounds like the battery charger for the house. Mine plugs into a standard 120V outlet. But it is near the inverter not converter. That is my guess without pictures.
