Upholstery in 2013 Allegro worn and cracking.

Hi we just bought a 2013 Allegro with low miliage but the upholstery on the captains chair and table benches are cracking and wearing. Thought it was leather but appears not to be. Any ideas? Otherwise happy with purvhase. Vickie from White Rock Canada

Seems to be a common problem for that year. We had Red Bay recover all our seats, etc. with in the first six months. I'd suggest contacting Red Bay.

Not sure if the same, but.......

At 1 year of age, noted some wear on arm of driver's seat. While in Red Bay, asked them to look at it. They reported lots of probs with upholstery and replaced both cockpit seats. My coach is 2015 RED. Don't know if same upholstery or not.

Contact Don Boyd at Tiffin as he is familiar with the problem and great to work with. I had to have mine replaced and Tiffin was good about doing it, no problems. As I understand it, they got a bad batch of material from the supplier and it affected several coaches.

Number isn't currently handy but his email which he answers quickly in my experience is don.boyd@tiffinmotorhomes.com.

They do no pickup the mh. What they have done is to send out brand new seat covers already made. They also have sent out sofa, dinette etc covers. They then will usually authorize you to take it to an upholsterer of you choice if you can't do it yourself. You do have to ask for the service if you are too far to get to Red Bay. By emailing Don you have it all in writing.

Be sure to include your name, address, contact number, year and model of the coach, the complete VIN number. Be short and concise about what needs replacing and it is much better if you can include a couple of pictures. Don will ask for pictures anyway. That's why it is better to just go ahead and email him to start with.

Keep in mind the holiday so it may take a little longer for a response.

My experience is the same as Melmoses. Use the email system, Don is very responsive and won't keep you waiting. Tiffin's service number is 256-356-0261.
