In our 07 Alegro Bus we have small sections of carpeted baseboard. Does anyone know WHY they are covered with carpet? Has anyone taken the carpeting off? If so, what is under there? I HATE carpeting of any kind in the bathroom! Thanks

The carpet covers plywood type wood. The carpet is to "cover up" the ugly wood. The wood is needed to be able to attach with a screw to whatever defect or flaw or gap the build process created. Our phaeton block of carpet covers the fact the tubing for water goes to the toilet. It also "fills" and hides the gap between the shower and the vanity. Effective and CHEAP to do.

If along the outer walls (and they usually in the bedroom) cover the Water lines, electric wires and TV cable that run inside the coach.

Maybe it was done to detour and soak up a hose leak from the toliet.
That is what exactly what it did for us. As soon as I saw water I took it off and dried it off. It is held in with 2 phillips screws.
